Blizzard Reveals Newest Control Map – Busan

The gift just keep on coming as not only Blizzard released a new animated short focusing on D.Va today, they also revealed the latest map set to drop soon, a Control Map called Busan. Sharing similar aesthetics of Hanamura and Lijiang Tower but with a dash of Korean flavor to it, Busan looks to be the most beautiful Control Map on Overwatch to date.

Players will get to play across three distinct maps; break the tranquility on a Hanamura-like temple setting called ‘Sanctuary’; get to the streets of Busan and duke it out in PC bangs and karaoke joints in ‘Downtown’ or just take it to D.Va’s MEKA Squad operating base on MEKA Base.

Yes, it is still early days so we won’t speculate the nitty gritty of the map but from the offset, are already loving the stylistic approach to this map. When will it be released? Our educated guess puts September 3rd as the date it to be available for all, just before the new Competitive Season 12 starts.

But good news for PC players though as the game is now live on the PTR so do check it out.

Explore the serene setting of the Sanctuary, featuring an ancient temple, beautiful gardens, and historic architectureTeams can dive in and battle for control of three prominent locations within one map Sanctuary, Downtown, and MEKA BaseClash in the bustling metropolis of Downtown, where players will fight across a busy PC bang, flashy karaoke bar, and central light rail station

It’s about time if you ask us, considering the last Control Map we got was Oasis and to be honest, we aren’t huge fan of it. What do you think of Busan? Will it get you back into the game? Comments section is right down below!
