In case you aren’t aware, the PC specifications required to run the upcoming Star Wars shooter, Star Wars: Battlefront II are out – and these specs are pretty reasonable we must say. They are as follows:

Minimum PC System requirements:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
  • DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

Recommended PC System requirements:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 6700 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM

  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB
  • DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 15GB

To run the game in 1920×1080, Nvidia suggests using a GTX 1060, the GTX 1070 for 2560×1440, and a GTX 1080 Ti for 3840×2160.

While we enjoyed the beta, we are still quite skeptical of the whole lootbox and progression system which we feel heavily leans to the realms of microtransaction and is potentially game-breaking. You can read about our thoughts of it here. The singleplayer portion of the game will put players in the boots of a Galactic Empire special forces soldier, right after the destruction of the second Death Star. The storyline is cannon and fits right after Episode VI.

Star Wars: Battlefront II releases November 17th 2017.
