Overwatch League: Woohyal Keeps Perfect Record Vs Lunatic-Hai Core Intact as Spitfire Stomps Dynasty

London Spitfire tank Seung-hyun “WooHyaL” Sung kept his perfect record against the Lunatic-Hai core intact following his team’s 4-0 win over the Seoul Dynasty last weekend. Walking into the game having never dropped a map playing against the former Lunatic-Hai players that make up the core of the Seoul Dynasty, few would have predicted the Spitfire to defeat the season favorites in such convincing manner. And yet they did.

Seems like Woohyal is the Dynasty’s kryptonite. A potent one as well. During his time competing in the OGN APEX Season 4 as part of the GC Busan team, they defeated the then Season 3  defending champions twice in Stage 2 Group Stages to not only advance to the semi-finals, but also dump the highly stacked team in the most unceremonious manner.

GC Busan of course went on to win APEX Season 4 by defeating two other former APEX finalists – Cloud9 KongDoo (KongDoo Panthera) and RunAway to be the last ever winners of the OGN APEX circuit. While the Lunatic-Hai corps went on to form the Seoul Dynasty, the GC Busan team combined with Cloud9 KongDoo to form the superteam of London Dynasty.

With that 4-0 win over their Korean rivals, the London Spitfire are now again poised to make it to the Stage playoffs as they next face two ‘easy’ teams – the Shanghai Dragons and Dallas Fuel. As for the Dynasty, all hopes aren’t lost as they can secure a place in Stage 2 playoffs by winning at both of their two remaining matches in Week 5, against either Houston Outlaws or Florida Mayhem while also hoping for the Gladiators to drop a match or two.
