Overwatch League: Losing Debuts For ‘Mr 150K’ Sinatraa

It was a debut week to forget for Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Won as the San Francisco Shock lost five-set thrillers twice over a span of two days as they fell to Florida Mayhem on Thursday and Boston Uprising the following day. Starting the series over Andrej “babybay” Francisty against the Mayhem, Sinatraa jumped straight into the fray like a duck to water as he ploughed through the Mayhem defenses on his signature hero, Tracer. However he’s met with the equally talented opposition Tracer in Logix who kept one of the most hyped players to join the OWL in check.

Many were wondering who would be ‘sacrificed’ to accommodate Sinatraa once he’s eligible to compete but Shock have appeared to found a way to involve their starting DPS players since Stage 1 – Danteh and Babybay – into the mix as both equally had ample play time during both losses.  Danteh start in maps where his Genji, Sombra and Junkrat plays were required while Babybay is the designated Soldier 76 player for the team.

So how did Sinatraa perform despite the losses? Not too bad, really as he held his own pretty well amongst the big boys. According to Overwatch-dedicated statistics website Winston’s Lab, he currently ranks 22nd on Tracer heading into the match against Boston which puts him higher than the likes of Jake (29th) and LiNkzr (23rd). Considering it’s just his debut, it can only get better as he gets more scrim time and opportunity against lesser opponents.
