Let’s Talk About That Killer Reveal In The New God Of War
By Mr Toffee|April 20, 2018|3 Comments
God of War is an awesome game with so many breathtaking and killer moments, and we’re not just talking about just the combat either. There’s a bit later which will lay to rest every old-school fan’s complaints about the series not catering to its previous fanbase. Far from it.
What on earth am I talking about? Halfway through the game, this particular bomb drop. Want to know what it is? It’s rather spoiler-heavy.
Last warning.

Okay, so Kratos gets his pair of friends back after he’s told that he needs to go to Helheim to save his dying son, where it’s eternally cold and no flames have ever burned in the realm. You know which ones I’m talking about, old-school God of War fans.
Yes, the Blades of Chaos are back and they feel so great in this game. The actual reveal is really done well and it also involves a short cameo of someone from Kratos’ past. Check out the full scene below.
It even comes with its own Skill Tree; this time the Blades of Chaos does Runic damage more and doesn’t stun enemies, if it even does that at all.
Plus, he gets to use it in Helheim as an operating tool for a dead troll…
There’s also another cameo from Kratos’ past.
Yep, that’s Zeus. A.k.a Kratos’ real dad. That’s all in Kratos’ head because Helheim plays mind games with its denizens.
So these part (among many other major bombshells which I won’t spoil yet) should ease some old-school fans about the series’ new-yet-old direction. Same gritty violence, and a return of an old friend coupled with some nods to the past. What’s not to love?

That Iconic God Of War Moment Almost Didn’t Happen, Says Cory Barlog – KAKUCHOPUREI.COM

[…] That particular bombshell moment involved Kratos unearthing his old Blades of Chaos weapon, which he wielded in the first three games in his vengeance against the gods of the Greek pantheon.
