The hunt for Overwatch League’s MVP for its inaugural season is in full swing and fans can play a part in that search simply by tweeting their picks. Using the hashtag #OWLMVP followed by the player’s name or BattleTag, each tweet will count as a vote for the player.
Example – ‘#OWLMVP Fissure ‘
A daily leaderboard is posted to OverwatchLeague.com and as of time of writing, Philadelphia Fusion’s Korean DPS-main, Carpe is in the lead. He is closely followed by NYXL’s Jjonak, Seoul Dynasty’s Fleta and Jjonak’s teammate, Libero. Dallas Fuel’s Effect rounds up the top 5.
You can keep track of the leaderboard which is updated daily here.
To ensure that the OWL end up picking a deserving winner, rather than a troll pick – as we’ve noticed countless votes for Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel on Twitter – only twenty-five percent of the MVP award is determined by fan vote, as the remaining portion is decided by the Overwatch League broadcast team.
The winner will be announced on the first day of the Overwatch League Playoffs, beginning July 6.
So who is your pick for the Overwatch League MVP? Ours is Los Angeles Gladiators’ Fissure. His transfer from the Spitfire not only galvanized the team’s tank line, it also upgraded the team from a mid-tier team into a play-off challenger. They are one of the trickiest teams to face in the league at the moment and we believe we are yet to see the full power of the best tank in the league.
