Here Are The Final 24 Teams Competing in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup

The list of the 24 teams set to compete in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup Group Stages is out, along with the groupings for each of the qualifiers which are set to take place in four locations around the globe. Check them out:

The final list was determined selecting 20 countries with the highest average skill rating (SR) of each country’s top 150 players. The other four were the hosts of each group stages; South Korea, United States, France and the biggest beneficiary from being a host, Thailand who would not have made it into the Top-20 otherwise. The format, exact time and dates for these group stages are to be played will be announced soon but they should be held just after Season 1 of the Overwatch League concludes, and well before the final rounds of the Overwatch World Cup which takes place in early November, at BlizzCon.

We fancy the South Koreans and Russians to emerge from the Seoul Stage, United States and Canada from the US stage and the United Kingdom to accompany France out of Paris. The Thai stage is the most intriguing one as we feel that at least five teams have a decent shot to emerge from this stage. Sorry Thailand – it’s too tough of a group for you folks. If we had to pick, it would be the Chinese and Swedes to qualify from Bangkok.

Just like in the past, we will be covering the Overwatch World Cup from top to bottom so make sure to keep it locked on to Kakuchopurei.com for everything related to the Overwatch World Cup (and yeah – of course, Overwatch in general!)
