XQC Might Return to the Pro-Circuit

Yep. You read it right.

Earlier today, recently-banned OWL hopeful, Coluge_V2 announced on his stream that he was unbanned by Blizzard from account-boosting misdemeanor and will be representing GoatsGG in the North America Contenders Trials alongside ex-Dallas Fuel main tank, Felix ‘XQC’ Lengyel.  The clip of the announcement can be found below:

Goatsgg also released their full lineup for NA Contenders Trials via their official Twitter account:

Gator’s one-year ban have been reduced to one season which means he *should* be eligible to participate as a player for any team in the following season. For the upcoming one, he will serve as coach for Goatsgg.

XQC, having been released by OWL team Dallas Fuel in Stage 3 will be filling in for Gator, who was banned by Blizzard for account boosting. However, according to XQC in a later stream with Coluge, the move may face some issues since technically he (XQC) is still banned from competing by Blizzard, having yet to serve his four match Overwatch League suspension which led to his contract termination by the Dallas Fuel. He also pointed out a possible clause requiring ex-OWL players to accumulate a considerable time buffer between their OWL contract and competing on lower-tier tournaments under Blizzard’s umbrella.

We will be monitoring this scenario closely as we believe that XQC have lots to offer to the pro-Overwatch scene and this may be his first steps for redemption following a disappointing show in the OWL inaugural season.
