E3 2018: Crazy Digital Devolver Press Con Shows Off 3 Games
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 11, 2018|1 Comment
Remember that insane Digital Devolver press conference video during E3 2017? Well, the DD folks are back again with more insanity while also announcing legit games. Here are the titles:
The first title is SCUM, which is dubbed as an “open world prison survival” game featuring convicts, killer drones, and killer mechas that keep them in line. The game has a huge level of customization, control, and progression. Steam Early Access for this title starts August.
The second game is My Friend Pedro, a 2D action run-and-gun game where you can slow down time ala Max Payne to pull off sick moves and crazy feats of 2D acrobatics. For some reason, you follow orders from a talking banana.
Finally, we get a remaster of a From Software mecha game: Metal Wolf Chaos XD. You control the President of the US of A as he pilots a war mech to take down his traitorous vice president who also has a war mech and a big mecha army backing him up.
The game comes out later this year for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and features remastered graphics and widescreen format. And yes, it’s as over-the-top as you remembered/heard it to be and a byproduct of its era.
If you’re interested in the entire press con however, check out the video below. We won’t spoil it for you, but it’s just as trippy & surreal as the last one.
