E3 2018: Tak Fujii Returns To Gaming With Gal Metal
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 19, 2018|1 Comment
Remember that guy from the Konami E3 2010 press conference? Here, let’s send you a reminder:
The man’s name is Tak Fujii and he’s renowned for selling us Ninety Nine Nights 2 with his extreme delivery. Fast forward to now after his hiatus from Konami, he’s now directing a new rhythm game called Gal Metal. Check out the gameplay below:
What’s the game about? It’s about playing to the beat of your own drum and guitar. You control a girl who somehow combines herself with her guy pal from school after being kidnapped by aliens who want to stop metal. Naturally, it’s up to the girl hybrid person to play with her band and rock out with their collective devil hands out.
This just sounds more like the spiritual successor to Guitaroo Man by the minute. But really, it’s best to just watch him explain it to the folks at Easy Allies. There are just so many moments worth clipping out and putting on Facebook, we don’t know where to start.
His Twitter game is also awesome.

Farewell USA. E3 2018 was the best E3 ever in my entire career. You'll find interviews videos of Gal Metal in a week or two(if not censored). They are way extreeeeemer than the one back in 2010.

Seriously, it’s good to have you back, Fujii-san. Gal Metal is scheduled for a Fall 2018 release for Nintendo Switch.
