Yes you read it right. We were stoked as well when we came across the news just now. The trail started when the official World of Warships (WoWs) Twitter posted the following Tweet:
How excited are you to see World of Warships on consoles? For more information head over to https://t.co/YfZQuiSR0R pic.twitter.com/y0GApSYJRj

Clicking you on the link sends you to a survey for prospective Alpha-testers of the game. While not much was revealed in the questionnaire save for their inquiries about your gaming habits, location and availability, rest assure that the days of blowing up pesky destroyers and cruising on the Yamato via your PlayStation 4 is coming real soon. The survey indicates that the game will be coming to the Xbox One as well.
According to official press release, the alpha testing period will run for a couple months before shifting to closed, followed by open beta tests. To play the game on either the PS4 or Xbox One, players will require about 30GB of free space.
Having occupied the PC realms for years prior to hitting the mobile scene in January via WoWs Blitz, the console version of WoWs which we believe will be called ‘World of Warships Legends’ is sure to bring awesome realistic naval warfare for console gamers, just like what was delivered via World of Tanks’ console port.
Like Tanks on PC, console and mobile and Warships on PC and mobile, expect Legends to be free-to-play as well.
