Blizzard Announces Another Overwatch Free Weekend Event

Always wanted to try out Overwatch but unsure if you’d dig it in the long run? Then you’d be glad to know that in celebration of the Overwatch League Grand Finals, Blizzard will be hosting a free-to-play weekend for the hero shooter next week exclusively for PC players.

From Friday, July 27th at 2am through Tuesday, July 31st 2:59pm, Overwatch will be free to play for PC only. It’s great timing as well since first-timers will get to try out Overwatch’s latest and 28th hero, the sentient, mecha-driving hamster, Hammond a.k.a Wrecking Ball.

During this free weekend, on top of Overwatch’s full roster of 28 heroes and 18 maps,  a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade will be accessible as well. Players will be able to level up as normal, earn loot boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.

If you somehow decide to purchase Overwatch after test driving the game, you will get to keep any progress made during the weekend—as long as you use the same Blizzard account that they played on. No ragrets.

For more info, head on over to Blizzard’s official post.
