Overwatch’s Halloween Event Gets A Start Date
Overwatch’s yearly Halloween-themed event, Halloween Terror returns this 9th October with a potentially new mode set at the Widowmaker’s home, Château Guillard. Teased by the official Overwatch Twitter account last night, not much was revealed but our guess is that it’ll be another PvE, defending several points style of play ala Blackwatch event on Rialto rather than simply holding off waves as seen in past Halloween Terror events.
There’s a rumor among explorers
About a monolithic lair
Home to terrifying horrors

Expect to get new items including timed, exclusive skins, sprays and emotes as older limited-time skins also make a return at a cut price. Overwatch have been in quite a stagnant state of late with the Overwatch League on a break and the Overwatch World Cup being a couple months away. Hopefully on top of the Halloween event, we’ll get a tease of a new hero, or a new, engaging mode to invest our time into.
We also expect the new hero reworks – most notably Torbjorn’s new kit and Pharah’s rebalance to drop alongside the Halloween event.
