It’s only been one month since the launch of Ubisoft‘s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and it’s clear that the developer/publisher is actively listening to community feedback as well as implementing them faster than Hermes himself can run.
In an AC Odyssey November content update, Ubisoft has revealed several highly-requested new features, some of which will be arriving later this month. These include a level cap increase and a new terrifying Mythical Creature to slay!
Players who have reached level 50 will be glad to know that the level cap will be increased to at least level 70 later this month. Don’t worry about having to grind 20 levels all over again, as all XP earned before the arrival of the level cap increase update will automatically be converted into ability points for your perusal. Huzzah!
If (like me) you’ve already slain all existing Mythical Creatures in AC Odyssey, a new challenge awaits you on November 13, 2018. In a quest called ‘The Lightning Bringer,’ players will have to face Steropes the Cyclops. Slaying this one-eyed monster will reward you with a Legendary Bow. Unlike the Egyptian Gods in Assassin’s Creed Origins, there’ll be no time limit so you can take all the time you need to prepare for the epic battle with Steropes!
Torn between choosing the best-looking Gear or the ones with the best stats? A new visual customization system will be implemented in AC Odyssey later this month. What that means is that players will be able to add a visual layer on top of their gear, effectively combining the stats of your strongest equipment with those which you personally like the most. For instance, you will be able to equip a Minotaur Head with the stats of any of the Legendary Head Gear if you so wish.
Other upcoming new features and content in November include two new exclusive cosmetic Packs (the Odysseus and Odysseus Naval Packs), and more control over XP boosters.
Other than the new Mythical Creature Steropes the Cyclops, no release dates have been announced for any of the other upcoming features. However, they will presumably be arriving sometime in November with the 1.0.7 update. In the meantime, check out my Assassin’s Creed Odyssey review, and why I thought it deserved a rating of 90/100.
