The Anime Festival Asia 2018 is returning for its 10th edition this year, and it will take place at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center from November 30 to December 2, 2018.
Here’s what to expect from this year’s AFA 2018:
The main attraction for this year’s event is the I Love Anisong concert held every night for three days straight. It features some of Japan’s top anime singers/bands and rising stars, including May’n, Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets, SPYAIR, and more. Additionally, many of these singers and bands will be available for autographs during the day so check out the schedule to make sure you get to meet your favorite artists.
Some of the exciting activities awaiting attendees at AFA 2018 include meet and greet sessions with your favourite celebrities. You should grab this opportunity to meet folks like Atsushi Abe, Minami Tanaka, Erii Yamazaki, and Rika Abe.
The World Cosplay Summit 2019 Singapore Preliminaries will also be held at AFA 2018, as well as Cosplay Singles Showcase. The former is to determine who will be representing Singapore World Cosplay Summit 2019 finals in Japan next year, while the latter is open to any cosplayer attending AFA 2019 worthy enough to be selected.
Foodies can head on over to the Akiba Town Food Street section for some Japanese culinary delights while other can visit the myriad variety of exhibitions at AFA 2018. There will also be a dedicated Creator’s Hub selling fan-made merchandise such as bookmarks, posters to doujins and more.
An event won’t be complete without special guests, and attendees can look forward to many of them at this year’s event. Special guests include voice actors/actresses like Ai Furihata, Ai Kayano, Ayako Kawasumi, and more.
Tickets for the event range from only SGD15 (limited to one-day exhibition access only) to the most expensive at SGD428, which will grant attendees VIP access to the I Love Anisong concert, exhibition/stage access for all three days, and more.
