NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060 Arriving Later This Month

NVIDIA has announced the NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060, which is set to be the new generation’s equivalent of the older GTX 1060. It will be available for sale starting from 15 January 2019 at a price of US$349 or roughly RM1400+.

The RTX 2060 will be 60 percent faster than the GTX 1060, and it even beats the gameplay of the GTX 1070 Ti. This was proven by testing over 23 benchmarks including but not limited to graphically-demanding games like Doom, Far Cry 5, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wolfenstein 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and more.

Equipped with 6GB of GDDR6 memory and 240 Tensor Cores that can deliver 52 teraflops of deep learning horsepower, it improves gaming performance through a feature known as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). Turing’s RT Cores and Tensor Cores make such an improvement possible, capable of running Battlefield V with ray tracing enabled at 60 frames per second. According to EA DICE, a future update will bring DLSS support to Battlefield V.

For a limited time only, those purchasing the RTX 2060 or a PC equipped with the RTX 2060 can choose to receive a complimentary free copy of either Battlefield V or the upcoming Bioware title, Anthem.

“Next-gen gaming starts today for tens of millions of gamers everywhere,” said NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang at CES 2019. “Desktop gamers are demanding, and the RTX 2060 sets a new standard — an unbeatable price, extraordinary performance and real-time ray tracing that blurs the distinction between movies and games. This is a great moment for gamers and our industry.”
