Massive Update Dropping In Alongside Assassin’s Creed Odyssey New Game Plus Mode

A new massive update is arriving for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey today, bringing with it a bunch of improvements and new features, including the long-requested and long-awaited New Game Plus mode.

According to the Ubisoft patch notes, the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.14 patch will arrive at 5.7GB for the PS4, 5.5GB for the Xbox One, and 4.7GB for the PC version. The size is expectedly large, as it’s supposed to be quite a major update.

Here are the highlights of the new Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.14 update arriving today on 26 February 2019:

  • Adds in-game support for Episode 3 of Legacy Of The First Blade DLC: Bloodlines (However, Ubisoft has not revealed the release date yet).
  • Adds in-game support for upcoming Lost Tales of Greece quests slated to arrive in March and beyond.
  • Adds New Game+ Mode: All progression (Gear, Mounts, Spear upgrades, Ship upgrades, Abilities, Drachmae, Crafting Materials, etc.) will carry over, and players will be required to have completed the Family Quest Line to access New Game+ Mode.
  • Increases level cap to 99.
  • Adds new Ship tiers, new Mastery Levels, 22 new fast travel Viewpoints, as well as two new Mercenary tiers.
  • Bug fix: The “!” above the Inventory tab will now disappear after players have hovered above the acquired items.

There are a lot more balancing improvements and bug fixes detailed in the full patch notes. It’s impressive that Ubisoft is keeping their promise to support Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It’s been almost 5 months since launch and the game is still receiving constant content updates.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey New Game Plus

The New Game+ Mode will finally allow players to replay the game’s entire campaign from a different perspective, by choosing the opposite gender (Kassandra or Alexios). For instance, I chose Kassandra for my first playthrough, which means that I can now try out Alexios without losing any of my progress or having to start over from scratch.

This massive update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was initially unveiled in Ubisoft’s monthly update video earlier this month. Check it out below.
