Apex Legends Streamer Shroud Out Of Commission Due To Scooter Accident

Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek is currently one of the world’s top streamers, thanks to his quick adoption of Apex Legends last month. Previously, he has streamed other shooter games in the past like Counter-Strike, PUBG, and Call of Duty.

That’s why fans were alarmed when he posted on Twitter yesterday that he will be “out of commission for a bit” due to an elbow surgery after getting into a scooter accident.

Shroud is best known for his godly aiming in shooters, which has made him popular on Twitch and amongst Apex Legends players. He reassured fans in a later tweet that he hasn’t lost his “aim”, but his “movement might be a little slow” as he recovers from his elbow surgery.

Shroud’s roommate and fellow streamer Justin “Just9n” Ortiz recently explained more about his accident during a stream. He said:

“He hit the brakes too hard, and he flew over the handlebars about 10 to 12 feet, onto the asphalt. Now, being Mike, he’s looking out for his right arm, he fell on his left arm—all of his weight. He got a bunch of road rash from about his hip down to the middle of his thigh. It’s all purple and blue, all fucked up.

He landed on his elbow, put a huge hole in his elbow. From what I understand, he tore a ligament and removed a piece of the bone from the elbow, so [the surgeons] need to go in and reattach that bone to his elbow.”

That does sound pretty bad, but a recent tweet by Just9n showed Shroud in relatively high spirits just before his surgery, which means that fans have nothing to worry about. We wish Shroud a speedy recovery and a swift return to Apex Legends.
