You Can Play The Lovely Battle Chasers: Nightwar On Mobile Phones Soon

Arguably one of the better turn-based RPGs out there, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is basically Joe Madureira doing a Final Fantasy game in his own making and style. After all, it is based on the comic book series he created that missed deadlines and was eventually cancelled. But hey, better late than never, right?

Now you get to experience one of 2017’s underrated indie hits on your mobile device, be it iOS or Android. Developer Airship Syndicate will be releasing it this Summer.

For those who are new to this, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is about a young girl named Gully who is looking for her dad in a hostile fantasy world. Luckily, she has a magic gauntlet along with five other party members to help her out. While the story is cute and charming and all, it’s the gameplay that takes centre stage.

You have multiple difficulty options when tackling dungeons (harder level, better loot), a cool turn-based combat system with different characters and skills to sort out, and a lush art style that brings out the colourful anime-esque style Joe Mad is known for since his early X-Men run. Or in the horrid The Ultimates run if you aren’t that old.

It’ll cost you US$9.99, and as someone who loves his JRPGs, this one’s worth every penny if you plan on having it on your phone/tablet/phablet/portable whatever.
