Baptiste arrives in Overwatch as of the recent update. He is a support hero with an assortment of great abilities to help out the team.

The Combat Medic wields a Biotic Launcher that rewards accuracy and recoil control to significant damage output. It’s also capable of healing allies in its small blast radius.

His Regenerative Burst can be used to intensely heal himself and nearby allies over time.

In dire times, his Immortality Field can create a field that prevents allies from dying. The generator can be destroyed.

Baptiste’s Ultimate, Amplification Matrix, doubles the damage and healing effects of friendly projectiles that pass through it. His passive increases his jump height if he crouches beforehand.

Blizzard also announced the Overwatch Fan Art Contest: Hero Skin Design Winners! In the past months, Blizzard received plenty of awesome artworks with a variety of art styles across Southeast Asia.

All in all, he seems like a strong support player that might shake the current standing meta which is about as stale as it gets. I can’t wait to try him out.
