Ammobox Studios To Host Friendly Open Tournament at Digital N8tion

Ammobox Studios, the Malaysian developers responsible for Eximius: Seize The Frontline, will be hosting a friendly open tournament in conjunction with Digital N8tion on 31 March, Sunday.

The tournament features a cash prize pool of RM1000, with the winner bagging RM750 while the runner up gets RM250 for their efforts.

If you are interested in seeing our homegrown developer’s game in action, you can register here. Their Discord channel is also available if you prefer that way.

Details will be shared further on 27 March, Wednesday on the Dev Podcast.

Digital N8tion is a 3-day event spanning from 29 March to 31 March, in which it highlights how the digital ecosystem is important in our daily lives. The event also attempts to expose how gaming can be a viable educational path and career prospects, such as game development and animation.

The event features many fun activities such as the Axis Esports League Season 1 Play-offs, which is a regional PlayStation league. The two games in question are:

  • ACL Call of Duty League Season 1 Finals
  • APL Pro Evolution Soccer Season 1 Finals

Digital N8tion also offers a digital expo highlighting major brands of the market such as AMD and their Ryzen lineup, Aorus by Gigabyte, AOC, Creative Labs, CoolerMaster and more.

The Rektnation League will also be present during the three-day stint. The tournaments available are:

  • The Cooler Master Reknation Rainbow 6 (R6) MY/SG Invitational.
  • Axis Esports Reknation Fighting Games Championship where contestants play 10 fighting games in an octagonal ring ala MMAs.

The Ar3na of Gamers will feature the Predator E3 Zone with appearances from Malaysian game developers. The aforementioned Ammobox Studios will also be in this slot. Our local higher institution, KDU, will make an appearance under the KDU Games Development & Creative Arts.
