Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone Reboot Is Coming Out Soon
By Alleef Ashaari|March 27, 2019|0 Comment
2019 actually marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic and classic horror/sci-fi anthology series The Twilight Zone, which made its debut in 1959. A lot of shows have tried to emulate (or was inspired by) the show’s groundbreaking (at the time) format and shock value, most notable of which is Black Mirror.
That’s why it’s no coincidence that the current maestro of horror, Jordan Peele, is not only the executive producer of the new The Twilight Zone reboot, but he is also assuming the role of Rod Sterling all those years ago, presenting and narrating each episode of the upcoming series.
Peele has proven himself worthy of stepping into Sterling’s shoes, with horror hits like 2017’s Get Out and this year’s Us under his belt. Us was only recently released to widespread critical acclaim, and we also reviewed it here.
Confirmed actors for The Twilight Zone reboot so far include Taissa Farmiga, Adam Scott, John Cho, Kumail Nanjiani, Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Steven Yeun, DeWanda Wise, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sanaa Lathan, Tracy Morgan, Greg Kinnear, Zazie Beetz, Seth Rogen, and Chris O’Dowd.
The Twilight Zone reboot is slated to premiere on 1 April 2019 exclusively on streaming service CBS All Access. If you liked Black Mirror (or any other anthology TV series in the past 6 decades), you owe it to yourself to watch the series that started it all (although it’s a reboot).
In the meantime, check out the most recent trailer for Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone reboot below.
