Here’s How You Can Watch Shazam Before Everyone Else

The next ‘big’ or major comic book movie is Shazam, and while it’s supposed to be released on 4 April 2019, Malaysians can actually already start watching it this weekend. That’s almost a week earlier than the movie’s official release date. Here’s how.

GSC Cinemas announced on Twitter earlier today that early screenings of Shazam will be available this weekend from 29 to 31 March 2019. Tickets are now available but keep in mind that screenings are extremely limited, so it’s better to book them as soon as possible.

Even before release, Shazam has garnered almost universal critical acclaim, currently sitting at a whopping 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s the same rating as Wonder Woman, though it remains to be seen if it will be able to maintain that rating as more reviews come in.

The DCEU received a revitalizing injection with last year’s Aquaman, and I hope that Shazam will be able to keep up that momentum. I dubbed Aquaman the “best DCEU movie to date” in my review, which you can check out here.
