Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Already Sounds Like The Star Wars Game We’ve Always Wanted
By Alleef Ashaari|April 13, 2019|0 Comment
EA and Respawn Entertainment are set to officially reveal Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at the Star Wars Celebration event later tonight.
The reveal will be live-streamed on EA’s Twitch channel at 1.30 pm CDT on Saturday, 13 April 2019, or 2.30 am GMT+8 (for Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia) on Sunday, 14 April 2019.
Ahead of the game’s impending reveal, Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella has already confirmed what the game will actually be (via Windows Central).
Speaking during one of the Star Wars Celebration live streams, he said that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is:
“A single-player, story game” with “no multiplayer, no microtransactions.”
While that definitely sounds like the Star Wars game we’ve always wanted for a long time, it’s an undeniable fact that a title likes this has been long overdue. EA acquired the license and rights to develop Star Wars games back in 2013, and the only major games they’re released so far include 2015’s Star Wars: Battlefront and 2017’s Star Wars: Battlefront II, both of which were developed by DICE and Criterion Games.
Nevertheless, now that we know what Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is, our hype and anticipation have increased tenfold. The last decent single-player Star Wars game was 2010’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (and that game wasn’t even great).
The featured image of this article is a recently leaked art for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It was revealed via a t-shirt on Amazon, which was discovered by Twitter user @Wario64.
