New Avengers Endgame Covers Hint At Possible Infinity Stone Wielders

We’re only two weeks away from Avengers Endgame, and the theories are getting rife, bombarding the Internet with endless speculations and assumptions. One of these theories purports that the Avengers will each wield an Infinity Stone to fight back against Thanos and restore the lives of those lost in the Snap/Decimation during Avengers Infinity War.

This particular theory is plausible because no human or mere mortal can possibly wield all the Infinity Stones together at one time. Thanos is an exception because he’s actually an Eternal/Deviant, so he’s practically a space god of sorts, thus explaining why he can use the Infinity Gauntlet so effortlessly.

Exclusive covers for the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine featuring the original six founding members of the Avengers were revealed earlier today via Twitter. What’s interesting about the covers is that they could be harboring a clue which supports the aforementioned Avengers Endgame theory, by hinting at which Infinity Stone each Avenger will be wielding.

Let’s take a look at each of them, shall we?

The first features Tony Stark AKA Iron Man in his new Mark 85 armor. The color YELLOW as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that he will wield the Mind Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 1

The next cover features Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. The color BLUE as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that he will wield the Space Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 2

The next cover features Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow (who I’m glad is rocking her red locks again). The color RED as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that she will wield the Reality Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 3

The next cover features Thor Odinson AKA the God of Thunder himself. The color ORANGE as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that he will wield the Soul Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 4

The next cover features Bruce Banner AKA the Hulk. The color GREEN as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that he will wield the Time Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 5

The last cover features Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye or Ronin. The color PURPLE as seen on the little Infinity Gauntlet icon on the top right and the color of the Entertainment Weekly font itself indicates that he will wield the Power Stone.

Entertainment Weekly Avengers Endgame 6

There you have it, folks. Could be any truth to the “Avengers wielding Infinity Stones’ theory? We’ll find out in just two weeks when Avengers Endgame releases on 24 April 2019. In the meantime, check out the official Avengers Endgame character posters here or my breakdown of the Avengers Endgame Special Look trailer here.
