What’s Next After Avengers Endgame: Upcoming MCU Movies To Watch Out For
By Alleef AshaariVerified|April 30, 2019|2 Comments
After more than 10 years and a total of 23 movies, the Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) finally ends with Avengers Endgame. It was such a perfect ending that fans have been wondering, what’s next for the MCU post-Avengers Endgame? How will Marvel Studios move forward with Phase Four (4) of the MCU?
Since we’ll be discussing the future of the MCU, keep in mind that spoilers for Avengers Endgame will be flowing freely below. Here’s a list of upcoming MCU movies to watch out for:
The only MCU movie with a definite release date so far is Spider-Man Far From Home, which is slated to release on 4 July 2019, only several months from now. While Kevin Feige said that this movie will still be part of the MCU’s Phase Three (3), it will still be the first movie to be set in a post-Avengers Endgame MCU.
With the events of Avengers Endgame still fresh in everyone’s minds, it will interesting to see how those who were restored from Thanos’ snap will be coping with a world five years older, not to mention how Tony Stark’s death will weigh on Peter Parker’s mind.
It’s been mentioned by director Jon Watts that Peter Parker will be trying to resume his normal life and go on vacation, but it seems that the world has other plans for him. With the Elementals, Mysterio, and the Chameleon popping up, he will need to step up to the plate, especially now that the world has permanently lost some of its heroes.
Nick Fury’s role in recruiting Peter in Spider-Man Far From Home may have more meaning than we initially thought. Just like how he approached Tony Stark to start the Avengers Initiative all those years ago, perhaps he’s looking to do the same but with a new generation of heroes, starting with Spider-Man.
Nevertheless, there will be a lot riding on Spider-Man Far From Home to kickstart a new era of the MCU post-Avengers Endgame.
