Ubisoft’s city-building game Anno 1800 is the fastest selling game in the series to date.

The company revealed that, during its first week of launch, Anno 1800 was sold four times more than the previous opus Anno 2205 in its first week. Anno 1800 launched worldwide on 16 April on Windows PC.

Anno 1800 has seen players building ships and nurturing cities here and there. Here are some juicy collective stats from the game:

• Players have reached almost 7 billion citizens across their islands, more than three times the global population back in 1899,
• Players have built over 10 million ships,
• Players have built over 1 billion grain fields,
• Over 3 million islands have been settled.

Benedikt Grindel, Managing Director at Ubisoft Blue Byte, pointed out that ‘they are now completely focused on delivering the best post-launch content possible for Anno 1800.’

Anno 1800 and the Season Pass released on 16 April are available digitally on the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games store for Windows PC.

The Season Pass can be purchased at the price of €25 (RM116). Digital Deluxe and Pioneers Editions owners will have access to exclusive content including the Anarchist character.
