Mordhau Guide: How To Kick Ass In This Medieval Multiplayer Maimer

Mordhau Perks Guide: What Skills Should You Use In Battle

You can customise your characters’ perks in the Armory tab from the Main Menu, or in the loadout selection screen in-game. With each loadout you’ll have 16 points to spend on weapons, armour, and perks – but don’t be tempted to look at perks solely as a means to use up your remaining points. Some of these perks can be absolutely game-changing – as you’ll see in a moment.

Here are the best perks, ranked in tiers:

A-Tier

Bloodlust, Dodge, Friendly, Scavenger, Second Wind, Ranger

Having perks that refill your health after a melee kill (Bloodlust) and gives you the ability to dodge (Dodge) is a boon in a game that pits you in 1v1 fights pretty often. “Friendly” is useful because this game has friendly fire, whether you’re swinging your sword or riding on horseback (trampling onto teammates is pretty common).

Scavenger lets you pick up weapons from dead enemies, which means you can start off as a simple 3/3/2 character, then kill some guy with a bigger sword (via surprise attack) and then upgrade yourself to fight on ahead. Second Wind supplies you with 3 extra stamina with every extra hit, while Ranger is meant for archers who want to move faster while they’re aiming their bow.

B-Tier

Fireproof, Fury, Rush, Tenacious

If you foresee fire bomb abusers in your match, Fireproof is a good perk to equip. Fury is good for 1v1-savvy players since it refills 2/3rd of your stamina bar for every kill, and is a good replacement for the 5-cost Bloodlust perk.

Rush lets you sprint immediately after you’ve killed a player, while Tenacious speeds up your passive health regeneration by 66%. The latter is great if you have a point left after customizing your fighter.

C-Tier

Cat, Flesh Wound, Huntsman, Wrecker

D-Tier

Acrobat, Brawler, Peasant, Rat, Smith
