Game Of Thrones Season 8 Remake Petition Gets More Than A Million Signatures

Game Of Thrones Season 8 has turned out to be one of the most divisive not only in the TV series’ eight-year history but also likely in the history of all TV shows. With only six episodes in its final season, fans are lamenting and decrying what they claim to be “bad writing” and “rushed nonsensical plot that throws away all these years of character development.”

Due to that, a fan decided to publish a petition to remake Game Of Thrones Season 8 online last week, and it has since received an overwhelming response. At the time of writing, it has been signed by a whopping 1,139,000 people.

The petition description reads:

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.

This series deserves a final season that makes sense.

Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!

HBO’s Game Of Thrones TV series moved past George R.R. Martin’s source material beginning from Season 6 in 2016. According to some fans, that’s when the series started going downhill, despite the fact that Season 6 contained several of the series’ most beloved episodes, like Battle Of The Bastards and The Winds Of Winter.

With the series finale of Game Of Thrones airing earlier today, it looks like the fan backlash is only going to increase. The series finale of most TV shows have often been extremely divisive or hated in the past, including the likes of How I Met Your Mother and Lost.
