[Report] Death Stranding This November Equals The Last Of Us Part 2 Delay?

A lot of you are pretty hyped about the Death Stranding release date, no? Even with gameplay footage, there’s a good chance 70% of it will be cutscenes if Hideo Kojima’s penchant for cinematic flair is of any indication.

But I digress; one man’s gold is another man’s bad news, at least for The Last of Us fans. According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier (via Nibellion on Twitter), The Last of Us Part 2 has reportedly been pushed back to early 2020.

Since this is (a) Kojima’s first game since Metal Gear Solid 5 and all that Konami firing nonsense and (b) one of PlayStation’s most-anticipated exclusives next to TLOU Part 2, it’s only fair to have one of them in that precious holiday quarter slot instead of both of them fighting it out. Which means that report about Naughty Dog’s game coming out in 2019 is declared dead in the water. Like the one them Death Stranding babies are in that power up connections and stuff.

Man, that gameplay trailer is one heck of an acid trip.

There’s still hope for you post-apocalypse fans out there: rumour has it that a PlayStation State of Play video will be out this week that focuses on TLOU Part 2, gameplay and all. Possibly with a 2020 release date. The wait will be worth it, Joel and Ellie fans.
