Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Terminator Dark Fate, which features the return of two of the franchise’s most iconic characters, with Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising their roles as Sarah Connor from 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the T-800, respectively.

While Terminator Dark Fate is set to be the sixth movie in the long-running franchise, it will be a direct sequel to 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring the events of 2003’s Terminator: Rise of the Machines, 2009’s Terminator: Salvation and 2015’s Terminator: Genisys altogether (all of which will now be considered an alternate timeline).

Besides Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis will be playing a new terminator-human hybrid while Natalia Reyes will be playing the role of the person everyone is trying to protect from the killer robot AKA the new antagonist terminator portrayed by Gabriel Luna (of Agents of SHIELD‘s Ghost Rider fame).

Terminator Dark Fate will be released in cinemas on 1 November 2019. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
