Xbox Is Releasing Its Own Fragrance Just For Australia/New Zealand

Body hygiene is pretty dang important, especially when you’re out there fraternizing with your peers or just going out in public for them gaming expos and PC bazaars. Microsoft and Xbox know this, which is why they’re releasing their own brand of “game themed” fragrances, body sprays, and shower gels.

In case you’re wondering, it doesn’t smell like a combination of Mountain Dew and Doritos. Nor does it smell of sadness due to the company’s not-so-hot Xbox One performance the past few years. Rather, it contains scents of kaffir lime, winter lemon, mint/sage, and more.

You know what? Let the official description sell it for you.

“Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood. Containing a range of natural essential oils, the Xbox Lynx range comes with a sleek new look and features a body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.”

Note the use of “sleek” and “pulsing” in the advertising; clearly this is marketed for gamers. Also for those not familiar with scent brands, Lynx is the other name for the famous “for men” scent brand Axe.

We’ve received no word on whether it’ll be out in Southeast Asia, specifically in Xbox-focused countries like Singapore. But it’s available in Australia and New Zealand this July. So it won’t be long for Aussie gamers to start smelling like every other Axe product out in the market.

Besides, Nivea and Old Spice are arguably better.
