E3 2019: Mobile Version Of Super-Popular MMO Black Desert Coming Out In English This Year

Black Desert, the Korean MMORPG by Pearl Abyss, is slated for a global mobile phone title release this year as, creatively enough, Black Desert Mobile.

The game is already available in South Korea and Japan a few years ago. The English version will be out on the Play Store and App Store in the coming months. Here’s a trailer that showcases all that hot sweet-looking Black Desert action in top-down hack-and-slash portable form.

For the uninitiated, Black Desert Online had an early life as a Korean sandbox MMORPG for the PC. It’s a popular MMO in the Eastern region, hence receiving a remastered version in 2018.

The mobile version will still retain some of its MMORPG elements and gameplay found in the original, albeit with some limitations since it’s still a mobile game.

The game will also see a PlayStation 4 release as Black Desert with preorders starting from 2 July. It’ll retain all of the original game’s features and updates, for which there is a boat-ton of.

Black Desert Mobile will most probably be released as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases, much like how it was in Japan and Korea. So far, details regarding the global launch are slim; we’ll hopefully see a solid release date soon.
