Axiata Game Hero Tournament To Pit Best Free Fire Players In Southeast Asia
By Alleef AshaariVerified|June 17, 2019|0 Comment
Axiata will be launching its first-ever esports tournament with the upcoming Axiata Game Hero tournament, which will pit the best Free Fire Battlegrounds players in Southeast Asia for the chance to win RM500,000 in grand prize money.
It will involve participants from four countries in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. For those unfamiliar with the game, Free Fire Battlegrounds is a mobile battle royale game developed by Garena, where a total of 50 players will play to the last man standing in 10-minute matches.
The tournament trials will be held from now until October 2019, which is when the National Championship in each respective country will begin. The final 12 squads from all four countries will then meet at the Grand Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November 2019.
The Axiata Game Hero tournament is open to all Axiata or Celcom subscribers (Prepaid or Postpaid) in Malaysia with a minimal weekly fee of RM4. Those interested can register individually at the official website here. However, the servers may be temporarily down at the moment.
In the meantime, you can head on over to the Free Fire official website here for now.
