E3 2019: JRPG Indie Tribute Cris Tales Lets You Fudge Around With Time
By KakuchopureiVerified|June 11, 2019|0 Comment
Cris Tales is a new indie game revealed at E3 PC Gaming Show 2019 that is essentially a “love letter to JRPGs”. True, many games like CrossCode have said this, but this one, in particular, has a twist.
In order for your protagonist Crisbell and her party members to end the rule of a cruel Empress and prevent cataclysms, you must visit the past, the present, and the future to sort it out. You can even visit them simultaneously to solve particular puzzles or even fight enemies from different timelines in old-fashioned turn-based combat. Oh yes, the game will have loads of combat to challenge your sensibilities.
The game’s story will unfold across five distinct regions and will have branching endings. Most importantly, the graphics and art style are friggin’ eye-popping, and it’s not just the anime eyes.
If you like what you see, you can play the game’s demo from today until 24th June on Steam. Best you do it now; the full game won’t be out until 2020.
