We’re not sure what the main characters in the upcoming Ni No Kuni movie from Warner Bros. are mad about, but boy do they look pissed in this latest poster.

Maybe it’s the new determined look these anime protagonists sport. Or maybe they’re taking lessons from American Kirby. Either way, I’d be pissed too if I was dragged into an alien world filled with Ghibli-esque mutants with freaky ears.

Also, here’s a new trailer with some more smiling, at least at the start of the film, featuring a bunch of new scenes including Ding Dong Dell street acts, belly dancers/strippers, and an airship ride.

The Ni No Kuni film will be out on 23 August in Japan. No English version release date is announced as of yet. Keep in mind while it looks like a Studio Ghibli movie, it isn’t made by that company. It’s animated by OLM, Inc., and features music from Joe Hisaishi and character designs by Yoshiyuki Momose, whom you may remember as Studio Ghibli associates. This is still Level-5’s baby.
