[Report] The Batman Movie Villains Already Confirmed
By Alleef AshaariVerified|June 13, 2019|0 Comment
Warner Bros announced earlier this month that Robert Pattinson would be our Dark Knight for the new trilogy of The Batman movies currently in the works. Besides that, details have been scarce and the entire project remains shrouded in secrecy.
However, reports are coming out that the villains for the upcoming Batman reboot have already been leaked.
According to inside sources by Geeks Worldwide, early production documents have revealed who Pattinson’s Batman will be facing in the upcoming movie. What’s even crazier is that there will reportedly be four whopping villains in the first movie alone.
Here are the four reportedly confirmed villains for The Batman:
In the documents for The Batman, the Riddler is described as “a criminal mastermind in Gotham City who takes delight in incorporating riddles and puzzles into his schemes, leaving them as clues for the authorities to solve.â€
Director Matt Reeves is looking for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 30 and 40 to occupy this role.
The Riddler was last seen in live-action form with Jim Carrey’s manic turn in 1995’s Batman Forever and Cory Michael Smith as a younger version of the villain in the recently-concluded Fox TV series Gotham.
In the documents for The Batman, the Penguin is described as a “Gotham City mobster, who is a short, obese man with a long nose, and uses high-tech umbrellas as weapons.â€
Reeves is looking for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 40 to occupy this role.
The Penguin was last seen in live-action form with Danny De Vito’s grotesque take in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns (1992) and Robin Lord Taylor as a younger, skinnier version of the villain in the recently-concluded Fox TV series Gotham.
In the documents for The Batman, Catwoman is described as a “Gotham City burglar who wears a tight one-piece outfit and uses a bullwhip for a weapon.â€
Reeves is looking for an actress of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30 to occupy this role.
Catwoman was last seen in live-action form with Anne Hathaway’s more subdued take in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises and Camren Bicondova as a teenage version of character in the recently-concluded Fox TV series Gotham.
In the documents for The Batman, Firefly is described as “a professional arsonist who attempts to burn all the places that he lacked the privilege to go as an orphan child.â€
Reeves is looking for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30 to occupy this role.
While Firefly has never appeared in any Batman movie, the villain has appeared in the recently-concluded Fox TV series Gotham. However, that was a female version of the character created specifically for the series, played by two different actresses across four seasons.
While these four villains from Batman’s rogues’ gallery appears in the early production documents for The Batman, the lineup could always change as production is slated to only begin sometime in 2020. A lot of details in the script could change by then, and that includes which villains will ultimately feature in the movie.
In the meantime, head on over here to find out what I think of Robert Pattinson becoming the next Caped Crusader.
