SDCC 2019: DC Universe Renews Young Justice & Doom Patrol
By Alleef Ashaari|July 21, 2019|0 Comment
Despite Swamp Thing still in a canceled state (#SaveSwampThing), fans should rejoice that DC Universe has renewed both Young Justice and Doom Patrol for Seasons 4 and 2, respectively (via IGN).
At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, series creators and producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti announced the fourth season of Young Justice, as production is already underway.
Young Justice debuted on Cartoon Network in 2010 and ran until 2013 until it was abruptly canceled at the end of Season 2. DC Universe then revived it for the third season, which is currently still ongoing.
Doom Patrol is one of the best comic book TV series adaptations around, and it’s great that not only the show has been renewed for a second season, but also will be debuting on the newly-announced HBO Max.
Doom Patrol Season 2 will premiere on both DC Universe and HBO Max streaming services sometime in spring 2020. However, no release date/window was revealed for Young Justice Season 4.
