The Dragon Nest “Sequel” On Mobile Is Now In Closed Beta

One of the most popular Asian MMORPGs is coming out with a highly-anticipated mobile version this year. World of Dragon Nest is the latest installment in the Dragon Nest series and will be a mobile exclusive.

Just yesterday, the game launched its Closed Beta Test (CBT) registration and only 30,000 players would be allowed to participate. It only took three hours for the registrations to be completely filled. The CBT was open to 5 countries in the Southeast Asian region: Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The game was initially released in November 2018 but only for Korea. This will be the first instance of an English version being playable for the SEA region.

The CBT will last for eight days starting from 1 August to 7 August 2019. The last two days of the CBT will be used for testing the PVP mode and also the Cash Shop. Participants will receive free diamonds to be used in the Cash Shop.

World of Dragon Nest isn’t exactly a sequel to the original MMORPG. The game will basically tell an alternate version of the original game’s story. It begins with Velskud returning to the past to right his wrongs and undo his betrayal which eventually lead to the ruined world as shown in the following trailer.
