New Daemon X Machina Trailer Showcases Weapons, Customisation, And More
By Burhan Zamri|July 18, 2019|0 Comment
First revealed at E3 2018, Daemon X Machina is probably one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch exclusives this year. The game will allow you to pilot your own mech to protect humanity against a dangerous artificial intelligence enemy.
The game’s developer Marvelous recently uploaded a new trailer on their YouTube channel and it shows off a lot of the game’s features in a detailed manner. There’s even a bit of the story too.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxezKs4AZvk&w=560&h=315]The game’s setting seems to take place on a post-apocalyptic world and you’ll be able to use objects in the environments as weapons. You’ll be able to throw cars and even pick up road signs and use them as bludgeoning clubs.
It’s not just your mech that’ll be involved battle. Your human pilot will also be able to take part in combat and there will be upgrades that enhance and modify your pilot. These upgrades will also change the appearance of your pilot.
I’m pretty sure a lot of people are going to draw comparison to Metal Wolf Chaos when they see the weapon loadout in this game. Your mech will be carrying multiple melee and ranged weapons and they will all be visible on your mech. Some of the weapons shown in the trailer are a machine gun, a bazooka, and a laser sword.
Personally, I’m a big fan of character customisation and it’s one of the big reasons why I’m hyped for this game. You’ll be able to customise the appearance of both your pilot and your mech. Similar to upgrading your pilot, you’ll also be able to upgrade your mech and the upgrades will change the mech’s appearance.
Aside from all the stuff I’ve mentioned above, there’s also other cool features shown including a looting mechanic where you’ll be able to pick up weapons from the wreck of other mechs. There’s also multiplayer which will be available for both local and online play for up to four players.
Daemon X Machina will be released on 13 September 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. There’s also a limited edition that comes with an 18cm-tall Arsenal Mech statue, check it out here.
