Nintendo Will Showcase Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Dragon Quest Hero Soon

Nintendo Versus has just announced that a video presentation for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) DLC Fighter will be released on 30 July 2019 at 6am PT (2pm Malaysia time). The video will feature an in-depth look at the next DLC character for SSBU which is the brilliantly-named Hero from the Dragon Quest series. The release date for the DLC will also be revealed in the video.

Mind you, I’m not taking a jab at Square Enix for their naming ideas. As far as I know, most Dragon Quest protagonists don’t have an actual name so they’re just called Heroes by default. Also, this DLC will feature four Heroes from the Dragon Quest series, not just one of them.

Game director Masahiro Sakurai will be the one presenting in the video and as always, it’s a joy to see the man play and talk about his games. As you can see in the image uploaded by Nintendo Versus above, Sakurai has a big smile on his face. In the gaming industry, that smile is known as the “never ask anything from me again” smile.

I’m just kidding on that last one, don’t quote on me that.

In a reply to the tweet, Nintendo Versus also stated the next version of SSBU will be released soon. Version 4.0 will include fighter adjustments so replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. The tweet also explains how you to convert your replays:
