New Power Rangers Battle For The Grid Update Adds Lord Zedd & Story Finale

A new major update (v1.4) has arrived for Power Rangers Battle For The Grid on all platforms, introducing the arguably most iconic Power Rangers villain (sorry, Rita Repulsa) and adding the long-awaited story finale for the game.

Lord Zedd

Power Rangers Battle For The Grid 1

Known as the Emperor of Evil, Lord Zedd is the iconic main antagonist of the Power Ranger Mighty Morphin series. He’s so much cooler and menacing that Rita Repulsa will ever be. Here’s the official description for his arrival in the game as the third Season One character:

The self-proclaimed “Emperor of Evil,” Lord Zedd has conquered and enslaved much of the galaxy.

Initially leaving the “insignificant” Earth for Rita Repulsa to conquer, he returns to punish her for her failure and finish what she started.

Lord Zedd wields his Z-Staff to blast his enemies from range but can also pull them in to close to unleash devastating attacks.

His combo potential is high and even more impressive when he calls upon the Putties to help aid in him in battle.

Power Rangers Battle For The Grid 3

His ultimate attack is calling his patsies to kick the crap out of Rangers while sitting on his throne. You’ll never be as cool as Lord Zedd.

Lord Zedd is now available for purchase as part of Season One Pass for US$14.99 or roughly RM62+ (which also includes Trey of Triforia, Jenn Scott and the Jason Lee Scott with Dragon Shield character skin). However, he can also be purchased individually for US$5.99 or roughly RM25+.

Story Act III: The Finale:

Lord Drakkon and his army continue to travel through dimensions, conquering the Rangers and threatening all existence.

With the fate of reality at stake, Zordon and Commander Cruger ask Rita Repulsa to join forces in order to stop Lord Drakkon and his powerful army.

Tune into Act III and find out if Rita has been convinced to join the Rangers to defeat her old apprentice.

Gameplay Improvements

The new Power Rangers Battle For The Grid update also includes:

  • Combat improvements to make the battles even more fun and engaging
  • The ability for players to preset their favourite teams
  • Improved PS4 online play
  • Online matchmaking improvements

Power Rangers Battle For The Grid is now available for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, check out Lord Zedd in action in the trailer below.
