Malaysia Overwatch World Cup Alt Jersey Will Be On Sale Soon

Update 20th August 2019: Pre-orders for the alt jersey are now open! You can read up on the pricing, sizing, and then order the jersey here. Check out more pics of the jersey worn by the Malaysian Overwatch World Cup Team’s General Manager and Community Manager:

To make sure you’re the first to get any more news and announcements regarding the jersey and other related information, make sure to follow Team Malaysia’s Facebook and Twitter page.

Yesterday, we announced the players of Team Malaysia who will be competing in the Overwatch World Cup 2019. Now, we’re going to drop another big announcement that I’m sure everyone is excited for: the team jersey!

Dubbed the ‘alternative jersey’, this shirt will be worn by the players for their public appearances such as meet-and-greet with fans, community tournaments as well as sponsor commitments between now and the actual tournament at BlizzCon in November.

This first, limited-run edition of the jersey is particularly special as it only features one confirmed team sponsor to date, with the Kakuchopurei logo printed just above the name set at the back of the shirt. Future versions will be updated with more sponsor logos as the team management locks down more partnerships leading up to the big day.

According to the team’s General Manager (who also happen to be our very own Kenn Leandre), this jersey will be made available for purchase to the public, and pre-orders will be open in batches for a limited time.

“Each participating team will have to raise their own funds to get to BlizzCon. So make no mistake that all proceeds from the sale of the jerseys will go straight to that fund which in turn would cover training expenses, accommodations, travel and other miscellaneous fees”, Kenn added.

Designed by TikiTaka Design, the retail prices and size charts will be announced shortly and pre-orders for the alternative jersey is expected to open around mid-August 2019. Information in regards to customisation and numbering will be revealed alongside the pre-order details.

For those of you who are keen on getting the cleanest look of the shirt, this is your only chance to get it. As a minimalist myself, I’ve always preferred jerseys with the least amount of logos but I understand why they’re there in the first place.

Disclaimer: Kakuchopurei.com is proud to announce that we have agreed on a sponsorship deal with the Malaysia 2019 Overwatch World Cup team as its Commercial & Media Partner. This agreement sees the Kakuchopurei logo printed underneath the shirt collar at the back of the shirt.
