Marvel Adds Ms Marvel, She-Hulk & Moon Knight To Disney Plus Lineup

Marvel Studios has announced three more additions to its growing Disney Plus lineup during the D23 2019 expo. According to Kevin Feige, those shows will be She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms Marvel.
No details or release dates have been revealed about all the three shows, which means that these additions may be included in Marvel’s Phase Five slate, instead of the recently-announced Phase Four plans.
Marvel is really pushing Kamala Khan AKA Ms Marvel since she was initially introduced in 2014. While she assumes the mantle from Carol Danvers in the comics, her powers are completely different from the woman now known to many as Captain Marvel.
Khan is an Inhuman, with the ability to shapeshift her body into many shapes and sizes, from big to small, sort of like a variant on Mister Fantastic’s stretchy powers. She is a Muslim Pakistani-American and her heritage/religion plays a major part in making her character unique.
This is a surprising series for Marvel to announce, considering that there has ever only been one Hulk movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.
For those who aren’t unfamiliar, She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters who acquires the power of a Hulk after receiving an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner AKA the original Hulk.
However, she retains her intelligence and normal human personality when turning into She-Hulk (until recently in the comics, that is). She works as a lawyer as her day job (much like Daredevil’s Matt Murdock).
Fans have been requesting for a Moon Knight live-action adaptation for a while now, and their wishes are finally coming true. He is set to be the first true vigilante superhero in the MCU, if we dismiss the Marvel Netflix franchise as hogwash and non-canon (which is what we should do).
In the comics, Moon Knight is Marc Spector is a former boxer and U.S. Marine, who left the military to become an international mercenary. However, a mission goes sideways in Egypt when he gets mortally wounded. Khonshu, the Egyptian God of the Moon and nighter travellers, heals him and gives him superhuman strength/endurance.
The catch is that Spector suffers from PTSD and dissociative identity disorder, which means that he has multiple personalities and is certified mentally unstable. It’s what Batman would totally be like if he were to exist in real life.
In the meantime, check out the full Marvel Phase Four slate as revealed at SDCC 2019 here, including the five Disney Plus series: The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Marvel’s What If…? and Hawkeye.
