NESCO Exhibitions and Electronic Sports Federation of India (ESFI) have announced Game Fest India, which is slated to take place at the launch edition of Hobby & Lifestyle India from 11 to 13 October 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon, Mumbai.
Over 10,000 gaming and esports enthusiasts are expected to gather at the upcoming event to explore more opportunities both in the gaming and esports industries and engagement avenues like Gaming Arcade and Duathlon.
Asian Esports Federations Director of Esports Federation of India & V.P Lokesh Suji said:
“India is already on the path of becoming the next big market for video games and esports; 2019 will see some major developments on this front.
In line with our mission & endeavours of growing the video gaming industry and building a sustainable esports ecosystem in India, we are pleased to associate with NESCO and Hobby & Lifestyle India.
We encourage stakeholders of video gaming and esports industry to make the best use of the opportunity.â€
The Indian video games industry is projected to reach US$1.1 billion by 2020, thanks to the deep penetration of smartphones and Internet services across the country. This is further bolstered by the fact that the country’s gaming population is expected to increase to a whopping 310 million by 2021, which makes for massive market potential.
Ultimately, Game Fest India is an initiative which not only aims to acknowledge and explore the underlying potential of the esports and gaming industry in India but also create a business avenue to showcase new games, products as well as act as a gateway for global players to tap into the Indian gaming market.
