Gears 5 Dishes Out 5 Days Of Fast Progression & 600 Scrap For Launch Week Mess

Developer The Coalition admit that they done effed up during Gears 5’s launch weekend. Which is why they’re offering reparations.

The company has announced that it will be compensating all Gears 5 Ultimate Edition players due to the shaky launch last Friday 6th September GMT+8; players couldn’t matchmake and stay on Gears 5 servers too long. That also includes the campaign co-op mode. It was quite a mess.

So what will they be compensating players with a five day XP earnings boost and 600 Scrap. The former is self-explanatory (faster progression); the latter is used to craft skill cards to boost your character in the game’s multiplayer modes.

Even with the online kerfuffles, which is part & parcel for online games nowadays, it doesn’t diminish the fact that Gears 5 is a terrific game. Read our review to find out why it’s a worthy sequel.
