[Report] Netflix Accidentally Reveals The Witcher Release Date

Gamers everywhere have been waiting with bated breath for Netflix’s The Witcher, especially after the first trailer dropped back in July 2019. It could be the series to fill the void left by Game Of Thrones’ absence, but the streaming giant has been keeping mum on when exactly the highly-anticipated adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels would be arriving.

However, it might not be a mystery any longer, as the official Netflix Netherlands Twitter account seems to have accidentally revealed the release date for The Witcher. In a tweet that has since been deleted (via CBR), the post reads:

“The wait is almost over, * so many * nights sleep for these titles.”

Netflix The Witcher Release Date

This was then followed by a list of television shows ranging from El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie to The Witcher, for which the number of “sleeps” (or days) left was revealed to be just 97.

That means The Witcher‘s release date is on 17 December 2019, which is only about four months from now.

Since Netflix has removed the tweet, it indicates that the release date is genuine. However, nothing is stopping the company from ultimately changing the release date when they eventually announce the news officially, whenever that may be.

In the meantime, rewatch The Witcher trailer below.
