Are you the type who likes a cold and calculating woman? Jihl Nabaat is one such bespectacled beauty who appears as a minor antagonist in Final Fantasy 13. As the commander of PSICOM, she’s charged with hunting down the main cast throughout the game’s early half.

Wielding a small baton and sporting thin-framed glasses to go with her uniform, she exudes the vibes of a woman whose bad side you don’t want to be on.

#14. Shion – Xenosaga

Shion Uzuki is a pure and kind-hearted scientist, and protagonist of the Xenosaga series. Naturally, her background as a brilliant mind has her flaunting round glasses, which supposedly help with her supposed worsening eyesight.

Though this makes her appear nerdy on the outside, she’s in truth a skilled martial artist and an avid cook. Though a bit clumsy, she prioritizes others over herself, making her an all round lovable person.

#13. Ritsuko Akizuki – The Idolmaster

First introduced in the first title in The Idolmaster series, Ritsuko Akizuki represents one of the first idols from 765 Production. She sings and performs as part of her group for a wide audience to help her agency cope with difficult times.

But what makes Ritsuko special is that she also has experience as a producer, as she proceeds to become one later on in the series. Her reliability and sincerity in helping others are lovely traits and would probably land her many loyal fans if she weren’t so keen on moving on from her idol life.

#12. Isabelle – Animal Crossing

If you haven’t kept a close eye, you may not have realized that Isabelle, everyone’s favourite yellow dog from Animal Crossing, also wears glasses. Of course, the diligent but clumsy secretary doesn’t wear them on most occasions when you meet her.

But when it’s time to lay back and relax, she puts on a pair of dark-rimmed glasses to go with her casual outfit. Could this be a clue as to why she’s always so scatterbrained at work?

#11. Cinnamon – Rune Factory Frontier

Cinnamon is a bit of a tough nut to crack, mostly because she likes being alone. She loves to fish and doesn’t talk very much. Is she shy? Or just plain disinterested in your existence?

However you want to put it, she is a potential love interest you can have in Rune Factory Frontier that you’ll have to unravel somehow. If you don’t mind a magician who’s somewhat reserved and unathletic, Cinnamon has quite the appeal.
