TGS 2019: New Guilty Gear Trailer Shows Sol, Ky, And A Grown-up Jellyfish Pirate

The new Guilty Gear (that’s the working title) game is bringing back the series’ signature fast paced 2D fighting system in a new smooth and beautiful graphics engine. It’s the level of polish we’re seeing in recent titles released by Arc System Works.

At TGS 2019, ArcSys dropped a new trailer that showed off some gameplay through a fight between the game’s two signature characters Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske. Check out Ky’s new haircut and outfit.

At the end of the trailer, we’re teased with a short glimpse of a grown-up May who for most of the series has remained a teenage girl. Looks like the developers finally remembered that age is a thing.

The new Guilty Gear is planned to be released sometime in 2020 and the next trailer will be unveiled at CEOtaku which is happening from 27 September to 29 September 2019 at Orlando, Florida.
