The SNK Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro Is An Entire Retro Console Inside A Controller
By Alleef AshaariVerified|September 10, 2019|0 Comment
SNK has announced the Neo Geo Arcade Stick. Inspired by the classic Neo Geo CD’s controller design, it is essentially an entire retro gaming console in the form of controller.
It comes with over 20 pre-installed games. The company has yet to reveal what any of these games are, but they will likely include iconic titles like King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and Samurai Shodown.
It will be playable in two modes; Arcade Stick Mode and Console Mode. In the Arcade Stick Mode, you can use the Arcade Stick Pro as a regular PC fighting stick or even hook it up to the tiny Neo Geo Mini retro console.
In Console Mode, the Arcade Stick Pro runs its own selection of games and outputs over HDMI on any TV or monitor. You can also connect Neo Geo Mini control pads or another Arcade Stick Pro for multiplayer. Button layouts can be customized as well.
At the time of writing, SNK has yet to announce the official release or pricing for the Arcade Stick Pro but has confirmed that there are definitely plans for a worldwide release.
Perhaps millennial gamers should try out this console and play a bit of Fatal Fury, especially those who had no idea who Terry Bogard is prior to Nintendo’s announcement that the character will be joining the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster.
